Discover our story, our identity, and what drives us forward
Achile Devine Foundation Limited is a humanitarian and community development organization dedicated to supporting refugees, asylum seekers, survivors of gender-based violence, and vulnerable host communities.
Founded in 2015, we have grown from a small grassroots initiative to a recognized organization working across multiple regions. Our name represents the fusion of two families united by a common vision: "Achile" symbolizing strength and resilience in local languages, and "Devine" representing our belief in the divine dignity of every human being.
We believe that every person, regardless of their circumstances, deserves to live with dignity, access opportunities, and build a sustainable future for themselves and their families.
From humble beginnings to expanding impact, here are the key milestones in our organization's history.
Foundation established by Achile Maluma to support 50 refugee families in Kampala.
Expanded programs to include mental health support and vocational training for youth.
Reached 500+ beneficiaries and opened second office in Northern Uganda.
Launched agriculture programs and formed partnerships with 5 international NGOs.
Celebrated supporting over 1,000 individuals across 10 communities.
Expanding to new regions with innovative livelihood and health programs.
Our work is built on these foundational principles that shape every program we implement.
We place the needs and aspirations of communities at the center of everything we do.
We work hand-in-hand with communities, partners, and local authorities.
We build solutions that last beyond our direct intervention.
We use data and learning to continuously improve our programs.
We approach our work with empathy, respect, and kindness.
We are transparent and responsible to our beneficiaries and donors.
We currently operate in these locations, with plans to expand to more communities in need.
